Discovered in 1869, DNA is the genetic structure that makes up who we are.
Today in 1953, scientists from Cambridge University James D. Watson and Francis H.C. Crick discovered the structure of DNA. After years of difficult work, the pair announced the structure as a double-helix. This structure consist of two strands, intertwined with one another.
